The Hanna-k is back up and running after a well-deserved month of holiday! Owner-operator Dale and his family took some time off to visit Canada. Dale, like a true fishing guide, spent most of his days casting on the freshwater lakes of Manitoba, and caught a variety of Bass, Pike and Walleye. Now that he’s returned home to the West Coast, he’s looking forward to fishing the deep calm winter water of Lake Mapourika. During the winter months we fish for Brown Trout.

We have had a very mild winter so far. The last week of drizzle has dusted the mountains with snow. Perfect time for a cruise? We think so!

Did you know the Hanna-K is fully enclosed? With a covered viewing deck out the back you will be sure to experience the beauty of the lake without getting wet!

The lake comes alive on rainy days, with mist and cloud roll through the mountains making for some of the best scenery! The wildlife also thrives in the West Coast rain, the lakes Swans and Herons might even be out enjoying the views with you. If you’re lucky you might even spot a rainbow!

Fancy a tea or coffee, maybe even a hot chocolate for the kids? Our local Skipper and Guide Dale will be more than happy to whip one up for you whilst you sit back and enjoy his commentary along the way.

Want to bring your own food and drinks? You can even BYO (bring your own) beer or wine on board!
