Last week on a drizzly evening Fishing Charter, Dale had a lucky strike with his crew from China and they landed our first sea-run Quinnat Salmon of the season!  Luckily the BBQ was pre-booked and ready to go for some of the freshest salmon steaks you can imagine!

Although it wasn’t the sunny summer BBQ weather that you’d imagine for this type of activity, it seems that the fish don’t mind the rain.  The back of the boat is incredibly dry, and not a drop of rain hit the the BBQ!  Excellent food was enjoyed by all on board (they even fed our crew – thanks!).

Our latest happy catchers came out with us for an evening fish in slightly windier, but much drier weather.  These guys had been on a few unsuccessful charters on the North Island, before booking in with us.  They couldn’t have left any happier after hooking a beautiful 7 pound Salmon.
