So I realise I haven’t updated our blog in a little while, which is pretty slack since lots of exciting events have gone on in town over the last month or so! The last one being the South West Triathlon which involves a run to Lake Mapourika, a kayak across to the campsite and then a grueling bike ride to our neighboring town Whataroa. We’ll get some photos and post more on that next time from a couple of our staff who participated in the event!

Our latest blog entry was written by Mike Beauchamp from www.backpackingearth.com. He came out with us as a usual participant from one of the tour buses we operate with and surprised with an amazing blog about our tours. Possibly the best sunset he’s ever seen … and the photos he took are absolutely stunning.

Claire is another talented blogger that came out for a paddle with us during her stay in Franz Josef with the Stray Travel Bus. We got her out on a sunny warm morning paddle, which always hold perfectly still mirror reflections on the lake. We never get a bad review after a morning tour!
