We’ve always said our morning tours are the best time of day, but now with this wonderful summer weather we’ve been having the lake has started to create it’s own misty morning micro-climate!

This isn’t a long post this time, just lots of photos to share from some of our foggy morning tours. With the warmer weather that’s developing – the lake often creates a foggy environment which at times can stretch as far as the township! We start off with a compass to navigate ourselves into the abyss…

As we set out across the lake, in a disoriented state, the mist begins to lift and unveils the beautiful panoramic mountain view! Once the fog lifts it’s almost always a stunning blue bird day here in Franz Josef.
