Whether it’s kayak rental or stand-up paddleboard hire, our rentals are designed so you can explore Lake Mapourika at your own pace.  It’s all about getting active within some of the West Coast’s most pristine waters and natural scenery, with rental options to suit everyone.

SELF-GUIDED SEA KAYAK HIRE

Hire a kayak and explore the lake at your own pace! One of our most popular rental options for explorers of all ages, there’s nothing more relaxing than exploring the waterways of the glistening Lake Mapourika. Glide across the calm water with Glacier & mountain backdrops, and then navigate into the narrow creeks of the Okarito Kiwi Sanctuary. Just you, your kayak, your paddles, and a mate. Bliss!

STAND-UP PADDLEBOARD HIRE

Hire a stable inflatable Stand-up Paddleboard (SUP) to enjoy the lake’s sheltered shorelines at your own pace.  Find your balance and steer through the best spots on the lake, with panoramic views of the Franz Josef Glacier region setting the scene.

During the summer months, Lake Mapourika warms up to over 20 degrees Celsius – so be sure to pack your swim suits and make a day of splashing on the water and relaxing on the swim beach with your mates.  If you’d like read more about our our rental options on Lake Mapourika check out this blog.

We want you to be confident when booking with us, with no deposits or charges for cancellations.  We do ask that cancellations and changes are made a full 24 hours prior to the trip time. Cancellations made within the 24 hour time frame cannot be refunded so please let us know if you need to change, or cancel your booking!  We're here to help, so feel free to drop us an email if you have any questions.
