Summer is just around the corner and our SUP tours are back for another season.
The Lake is beginning to warm up and it shouldn’t be to long before we will start getting back towards Summer temps of 20+ degrees! We will be running our SUP tours in the morning and afternoons to make the most of the calmer waters; perfect for the beginner paddlers.
We will be running two tours this season:
Enjoy 2 Hours of Stand -Up Paddle board instruction as well as the company of your tour guide to take you out on the stunning reflective waters of Lake Mapourika. Learn about the region, the glaciers and the kiwi conservation of the area as you Stand Up Paddle! Mornings or late afternoons are the opportune time to experience the glassy waters and stunning reflections.
NZ$85 per Adult $65 Child (Under 15 Years)
Enjoy a scenic boat cruise across Lake Mapourika before jumping on your SUP. The sheltered shoreline of the Kiwi Sanctuary is where you’ll learn the ropes of stand- up paddling with a scenic glacier and mountain backdrop. Then you’ll follow your guide into a narrow estuary amidst lush native rain forest and into the heart of Okarito Kiwi Sanctuary. This is a Stand Up Paddle adventure like no other, and absolute must-do for one of NZ’s fastest growing water sports! No experience required, although all participants must be able to swim.
