The mornings are cooling down which begins to get the stags warmed up!

This time of year is what is commonly referred to as the ‘Roar’. This is when the Red stags are beginning their rut, attracting mates and defending their territory.

As you silently cross Lake Mapourika and enter into echo bay, you can sometimes hear these mighty stags roaring early in the morning or last thing in the evening. When everything is silent you can coax a reply back from them which will really get your heart racing!
