This morning our guide Mike took Jim from the Department of Conservation, and some keen Southwestland locals out on Lake Wahapo to explore the wetlands!
We provided the kayaks and Jim gave everyone the inside scoop on the conservation of the Kahikatea Wetlands on the North end of Wahapo.
Bit of change of scenery for us paddling on a different lake, and we learn lots from Jim too. Good times were had all around, and Mike even managed to take some spectacular photos in between the down pour.
